Crownless — Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the iOS app Crownless by nhstudios. It describes what data is processed when you use the app, how it is used, and what rights you have. For the privacy policy of this website, see Datenschutz. The terms that apply to using the app can be found in the Crownless Terms of Use.

2. Summary
- Crownless requires no account, sign-up or login.
- All game progress (Coins, Crowns, unlocks, statistics, achievements) is stored locally on your device. We do not operate our own servers and do not collect this data.
- The app shows optional rewarded ads via Google AdMob. When ads are loaded, Google processes certain device data (see section 4).
- In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never receive your payment details.
- Crownless does not ask for permission to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
3. Data stored on your device
Your game progress — including currencies, items, unlocked customizations, statistics and achievements — is stored only in the app’s local storage on your device. This data never leaves your device through us, and we have no access to it. Deleting the app (or using Profile → Settings → Reset Account) permanently deletes this data.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Crownless uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to show optional rewarded ads. Ads are never forced during gameplay — you choose whether to watch them.
When an ad is requested or shown, Google may process data such as:
- IP address (also used to derive approximate, coarse location)
- device information (model, operating system, language, screen size)
- device identifiers for advertising, where permitted
- ad interaction data (e.g. which ads were shown, viewed or tapped)
Depending on your consent and your device settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Where legally required (e.g. in the EEA and UK), consent is requested via a consent dialog (Google User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads are shown. You can decline or withdraw consent at any time; non-personalized ads may still be shown, as they do not rely on personal profiles.
Google processes this data under its own responsibility as described in the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from ads. Google is contractually required to protect this data to the standards described there and in this policy. Data retention for ad-related data is governed by Google’s retention policies.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR) for personalized ads; our legitimate interest in financing a free app through non-personalized advertising (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
5. In-app purchases
Purchases (Coins, Crowns, President Passes, Second Chances) are processed entirely by Apple via the App Store (StoreKit). We do not receive your name, address or payment details. Apple’s processing is described in the Apple Privacy Policy. Refunds are handled by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.
6. Data we receive when you contact us
If you contact us by e-mail, we process the data you provide (e-mail address, message content) to answer your request (Art. 6 (1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We delete this data once your request is resolved, unless statutory retention periods apply.
7. Data retention and deletion
We do not store any of your personal data on our own systems. Game data lives only on your device and is deleted when you delete the app or reset your account. Ad-related data is retained by Google according to its retention policies. Support e-mails are deleted after the request is resolved.
8. How to withdraw consent
- Ad consent (EEA/UK): you can change or withdraw your choice in the app’s privacy/consent settings at any time.
- Device level: in iOS Settings you can restrict ad personalization (Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising / Tracking).
- Google account level: adssettings.google.com.
9. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to:
- access your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR) — for us, this is usually the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.
To exercise your rights, contact info@nhstudios.info. Note: since your game data is stored only on your device and ad data is processed by Google, we may refer you to the respective controls described above.
10. Children
Crownless is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Ads are served through Google AdMob in accordance with its policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes (e.g. when online multiplayer is introduced). The current version is always available at nhstudios.info/crownless/privacy/.
